Unlock employee engagement

If you only measure performance without knowing whether it was produced by engaged teams, you cannot know if you are getting the maximum they are capable of delivering.

The gap between the engagement a leader thinks they generate and the engagement their team actually experiences is often significant — and always actionable. One measurement cycle is enough to give every manager in your organization a baseline they can work from.

Unlock employee engagement

Measurement tools and a governance framework that make engagement a managed performance lever.

Disengagement is your biggest hidden cost. It is also fixable.

Disengaged employees reduce team productivity by up to 35%. They stay, but they don't contribute. They comply, but they don't commit.

Most leaders have no reliable way to measure the problem, identify its causes, or systematically address it.

Engagement is not a mood. It is a measurable, manageable performance lever — and we have built the methodology to prove it. Grounded in 20+ years of field research, validated across many organizations, it tells you exactly where engagement is failing, why it reduces performance and profits, and what to do about it.

What It Is

Most engagement initiatives fail for the same reason: they treat engagement as a behavioral problem rather than a leadership and governance problem.

Surveys get done. Results get shared. Nothing structurally changes. One year later, the numbers look the same.

Fair and Caring Leadership is a different approach. It starts from a rigorously documented insight: engagement must be measured as an outcome — not inferred from a diagnosis of behaviors.

Most conventional tools measure inputs: whether managers listen, whether employees feel empowered, whether teams have clear goals. These are means, not results. They tell you what might influence engagement — not how much engagement each manager is actually generating.

Our approach separates three fundamentally different sources of engagement that most organizations conflate:

  • What the organization fosters — through strategy, conditions, and culture
  • What each individual manager fosters — in their direct team, regardless of organizational context
  • What employees bring themselves — their personal disposition and motivation

Conflating these three sources produces actively misleading data. It dissolves accountability and guarantees inaction.

The Fostered Engagement Index (FEI) measures the engagement actually fostered by the organization and separately by each manager — in under five minutes, with four questions, fully automated, with absolute respondent confidentiality. Each manager receives their own score benchmarked against peers. HR and leadership receive only consolidated, anonymized results — until a governance-defined grace period ends, at which point individual accountability becomes visible to the organization.

This is not a survey. It is a governance instrument. It gives each manager something most have never had: the actual engagement impact of their leadership — and gives the organization a rigorous, manager-level accountability structure to act on it.
